I usually have an OCD for setting lessons, tutorials, quizzes and practice exams. I can offer great projects for you to submit for your classes as well. I don't like to drone on, hence my teaching method is quite simple - break down various topics for you to understand, remember and even "like" the concept.
Math Tutoring: I base my tutoring sessions on the assignments the student has been given by his or her teacher. I like to address the student’s most difficult questions first and use relatable analogies, stories, and mnemonic strategies to help students remember difficult concepts far beyond each lesson.
I identify with the students and their parents specific skills they want to develop or improve, then find resources around the topic to work through with the students. I start the lesson with the basics of the theory or problem, then show them examples and give them lots of practice so they can complete the tasks with confidence.
Know a little bit about the student Identify their learning needs Explain clearly, using examples I want you to ASK ASK and ASK any doubt or question I am pacient I like talking to the parents to ensure everything is okay and provide them information about the lessons
For myself the way i view it is that anyone can succeed if they are willing to put in the work. and that people mostly need some guidance. Because well one mans mountain is another mans mole hill.
I generally like to go over the topics that they are required to know and firstly look at how much they know through a few basic questions. I then change my teaching based on how much the student already knows and how quickly they seem to be picking up the topics. I will generally explain things with real life situations so that students can understand the topics properly.
The best approach is a slow step by step approach. Students will feel confident and at ease having a far better understanding before moving forward onto more challenging questions.
I use non-traditional methods of teaching. I tend to find ways to help students use concepts quickly without any problems. I encourage students to practise the methods learnt to understand concepts and to apply them to a similar mathematical problem.
I believe in teaching the basics, as a student who has struggled with maths and biochemistry in the past myself, I think my experience trying to understand various subjects will help a lot.
