I'm all about fun. Pencil and paper doesn't work for everyone, so I make it my challenge to find a way which engages my students and helps them to really explore the subject. No question is a silly question. Questions are key to unlocking understanding, and I aim to provide a comfortable and relaxed learning environment which encourages question asking and curiosity.
Maths is about learning and applying - not memorising. Not only can I provide the necessary knowledge, I focus on developing problem solving abilities, critical thinking and alternate approaches to a broad range of mathematical topics.
I base my lessons on what the student would like to work and improve upon. I like to look at their overall course outline to effectively build upon and progress the student in line with the timeline that their school follows to keep them on top of their work. I believe that each student has the ability to achieve success and it is my goal to support them in doing so.
Each student learns differently and I acknowledge this with different learning techniques to mature working memory, trigger recall, fill gaps in content knowledge and understand new concepts. I approach lessons with patience and work with each student to set a goal that they would like to achieve by the end of our session.
My teaching method is to always start with the basics, ensuring that the student has a strong grasp on the main concepts of that subject. This is the area that most often has cracks of misunderstanding, causing larger ideas to be more difficult to understand.

I understand that there are various learning styles and usually spend time to get to know which environment my students learn best in. This is why I try to make sure all my classes are tailored to how each student absorbs and retains information best.

Many students struggle with math because they don’t understand the practical applications of it. I am very enthusiastic, friendly and humorous. I really love working with primary school students because they are so curious about everything and I absolutely love that attitude when it comes to learning new things. When it comes to tutoring my friends, I always find out what they don't understand and need help on. I then teach them that topic to improve their understanding.
I like to let my students guide the lesson. I will come prepared for anything within their syllabus however, they are the one who know what they need more assistance on so will answer their questions and ask if they have any questions. I also ask for any practice exams or quizes so I can come with prepared answers.
My teaching methods are based around each students learning style and the work they are currently undertaking. I am happy to supervise homework or make up my own work sheets to provide the student with the most comprehensive understanding possible.
I used to teach my student applying a blended learning approach. I divide the tutoring hours into several small sections according to the planned tasks. In the first section of my lecture, I review the previous lesson, the second section is designed for delivering the lecture, the third section for exercise, and final is for solving the remaining problem that my student does not understand yet.
Solving mathematical problems, always keen to know logic's and facts about any discipline was my major field of interest. While teaching I make it a fun session rather than making it boring with just cramming things. The sessions you will be having with me will always be of learning things by knowing their logic, which will help a student to develop interest.
I am very calm person and teach the learners according to their requirements. I always encourage them to ask the questions in between the class to make them understand the problems fully. I have got lot of patience for others.
Firstly, I am open to answering any questions students have at the start of the lesson. If there are not many questions, I can explain concepts that students are struggling with and provide sample questions at the end of the lesson to solidify the concept.
I am more focused about dealing with the fundamentals of a subject or a topic, because once my student(s) can understand and grasp the fundamental rudiments of a topic, it boosts their interest and also increases their confidence to approach more technical topics even on their own.
My approach to tutoring is understanding the needs of each student as every student is different.
