I base my teaching method on the individual with an ability to assist with confidence development and being comfortable with yourself being the top requirement.
I specialise in higher level education, where GCSE is about the youngest I'm likely to be able to teach. I can work at degree level as a tutor and have studied performance up to a masters level at Goldsmith's. I offer practical tutoring in all forms of performance and devising in order to guide students to find their best selves.
I treat each student as an individual, assess their strengths and curate my training to the capabilities, as well as focus on elements of performance that they are weaker on. I ask them what they want to get out of acting/performance (Getting into the industry? Confidence? Improved vocal ability?) and tailor my sessions to their own goals and aims.
My teaching methodology is a nice relaxed and mostly free form approach to acting, and finding out what it actually means to give a believable and reliable performance without all the usual and somewhat pretentious and over done ways on how to "act"
I base my teachings on the Stanislavski approach, as well as other practitioners such as Meisner and Adler. If there is a specific piece you would like help rehearsing/working on I am happy to do that, including audition prep, or any practical work on general technique. I am also happy to go over any theatre studies or written work if so desired.
I will be taking workshops based on the board syllabus and tests with class and home work. The students should be from classes 6 to 12.5 days a week. The classes will be held in the evenings from four to six and students can get their own writing material and use the internet.

My teaching style is simple. It is about communication and challenge: using the three-part structure to show development, underpinned by questioning and evaluation. That means a step by step approach, tasks are broken down with reflective checking so that the learning is understood on the way.
My Socratic approach to teaching has been acknowledged in various places that I have taught around the world. This makes my method person-centred and humanistic. We use the natural needs of the individual to ensure success in learning and encompassing the adaptability for an effective structure, dependent on these factors and best practice.
