Through the use of speech and drama techniques, my aim is to give students the ability to communicate effectively, develop public speaking skills, and overall confidence. Students my want to enter for AMEB or Trinity exams, or may just require help preparing for other drama based exams or auditions.
Acting is fun, creativity is key, and we can be anyone, and do anything. The possibilities are endless. And that's what my lessons are. Nothing but utter, pure, extraordinary FUN. Acting is about finding your own truth, and once we do, we can find other people's truths. Come along. Join the most rewarding class ever.
My teaching methodology would be for my actors to feel very comfortable with me, as acting is something that takes you out of your comfort zone. To act is to truely bare your soul, and teaching my actors to have confidence and self awareness and to trust their instincts, is key.
My teaching methods are highly versatile after 15 years teaching acting I have learnt to adapt to my students needs. Some need a gentle push and some need a kick! I believe strongly in aiding the anxiety adults and children have to unleash their full potential.
My method of teaching is to treat the student with the same respect I would a fellow acting in the professional world. I help bring out their truth and guide them to make the most interesting choices.
I approach the idea of teaching a little bit differently to most. I am far more interested in building on, extending and developing the individual talents of young actors rather than being a mere teacher. I work one on one to achieve the absolute best out of each of my artists.
My teaching methodology is very much hands on with my students especially Drama, I always work by a code of conduct within my lessons, by quickly getting a rapport with my students, then breaking the ice by demonstrating a few games or activities where the students get involved and it becomes fun not boring..I allow for a lot of student participation and small group activities...
I start by getting to know you better: your aims and your theatre background and then I help you reach your goals. I can teach you vocal and physical warm-ups and different methods of acting (Stanislavski, Chekhov, Meisner, Strasberg, Practical Aesthetics, Laban). The aim is to build your own method for you to become an autonomous actor.
I work collaboratively with students, focusing on a teacher-led interactive methodology that prioritizes process driven character development, internalization, physicality and developing a strong understanding of creative practitioners and cultural theory.
My teaching method is holistic in nature, I develop the session to assist the student in the best possible way for their desired outcome. I am flexible and able to adapt to their mind set and I work with encouragement and set goals for the student to achieve. I am creative and recognize that creative students need that little bit more fun in the way they learn.
I I believe that theater arts is an expression of our creativity of our own minds and hearts and it is the very root of our ability to learn and to become whatever may be. To me, theater is the process of new combinations for new things, new forms of expression, new inventions and new situations.
My teaching method is student focused and supports any current study requirements. I will work together with the student to support/tutor any assessments with which they need assistance. I prefer to use the teacher in role strategy where the teacher is able to directly participate in the dramatic process and influence it from the inside.
When I teach and/or tutor any subject the first thing I find out is what the student/students actually know and can already do. The next step is to focus on understanding the questions they are required to answer. Then we build on prior knowledge, explore the topic and follow a plan to complete the required tasks/assignments.
Any teaching methods I present are based off what I have gone through and either works for me, or I feel will work for a student. However, what I do with them is based off what I think they need to work on, or what they ask to work on.
Hello! My name is Jaymee and I graduated Year 12 last year. I took Drama last year and have experience in working with others. I base my classes around how the child learns best! It's up to you how we learn, if you learn better by getting up and doing activities then that is what we will do.
A large portion of being a good performer is learning about yourself: what makes you remember lines best; or what acting method draws out your best performance. My aim is to work with you to identify your particular style.
Acting is about learning to play like a child again. We need to free ourselves of the restrictions society places on us and learn to get in contact with our imagination again. This is done whilst building the skills of voice and physicality to support this freedom.
I base my lessons on a group session that encourages self expression, creativity, confidence and trust building within a group dynamic. Students will be encouraged to create, rehearse and perform with a view to some final pieces to be performed for family and friends.
Who do you want to be? Why? Instead you can be a ghost. Learn how to observe the relationship of spirit and decay, and harness the forces that bind us together. A new style of time management guaranteed to dazzle and mystify.

My teaching methodology revolves significantly around physicality, and hands on practice. I ensure that students have the chance to ask as many questions as they feel necessary, and my door is always open to enquires.
I specialise In encouraging performance confidence, vocal techniques, audition prep, character development, character physicalisation, playwright and text research, movement and body work. I can offer singing performance lessons and general advice and guidance for actors wanting to enter the industry.
Mostly I try to suit the lesson to the student, so if you need help with line work or a monologue or creative inspiration or even the written aspect of drama, I can suit a lesson to your requirements.
Humour mixed with practice and theory is my method. It prevents soap opera acting while using irony and imagination to colour the subtext. Research, observation and especially in film work, continuity brings more depth into the character and it is also beneficial in the real world (what ever that is).
My goal is to help students learn to become more comfortable and confident with the work given to them and in building their repertoire. My lessons are geared toward individuals who a serious about pursuing the craft and becoming a better performer.
Learn to share your Knowledge, at a point it comes back with double bouncing speed and stretch.
My teaching method is simple. I make people feel the pain, sorrow, happiness according to character and give advices which help them to get into another character easily.
I approach the class with self awareness and using energy in voice and physical expression. Becoming aware of our own feelings and getting into another character is about focus and imagination. Tapping into our imagination requires physical and psychological clarity to enable a robust and sensitive engagement with our character.
