I first make sure that I understand the students’ needs and tailor my lessons accordingly; what they already know; what they want to improve and their learning speed. I approach topic by topic, that is, I make sure that my students understand the basic concepts before moving on to a new topic.
My teaching method is all about teaching according to the student's learning pace and capabilities. Understanding the student's needs is my priority in constructing my tuitions; what they already know, what they want to know and what they expect from the lessons. Then, proper exercises will be given to help improve areas such as vocabulary and grammar.
I structure my classes depending on the student's level and goals. If they are studying for an exam, that will be the focus, however if they simply want to improve their pronunciation then we will play some fun pronunciation games.
The first leasson consists in a test that allows me to understand what level the student has and what are his needs (Exam preparation / Accent / Grammar). Then every leasson will have an oral and a written part with exercises and a homework time if needed.
I am interested in any kind of learning and I can adapt to different methods depending on the student’s need. I am trying to think of how I would like to be taught if I were them and what worked for me when I learned two other languages.
I'm good with kids, patient. I'm used to explaining staff to people since I used to help my friends in school. I'm French so I rarely make mistakes. Practising with a native speaker is the most effective way to learn a new language.
We will focus on what you want to learn and need the most help with after a quick skill assessment. Expanding on your knowledge with interactive games and culturally relevant activities will help you learn accessible french that you can use on a day to day basis.
While I am glad to take the time to assist people learning French in the most effective way I can, I ultimately believe that any capable student must also take it upon themselves to truly learn and that they will progress this way. The lessons I offer are relaxed in setting and style, targeted primarily at first- and second-year French uni students but also beginners generally.
I love teaching using diferents kinds of supports.
I believe in teaching through traditional methods (such as learning grammar rules and general vocabulary), but also doing reading/written comprehension tasks that are relevant to the student and interesting.
Freedom and humour are two of the most important things for me, both in teaching and in learning – these are the memories I find most humbling looking back on my own school experiences. The relationship between student and teacher is equally important and there needs to be space to allow for it to take place.
I am Emilie, I am 20 years old studying International Relations. I propose you to learn French for every levels. I will adapt me on what subjects you want to work exactly. To teach you French I prefer to make you work in usual situations in such a way as learning is a pleasure for you.
Hi there! I'm a 27-year-old French girl, I'm trilingual (French-English-German) and passionate about languages. I can teach conversational French, but also more academic lessons (just so you know, I'm obsessed with grammar!). I care about phonology (the way you pronounce the words) and will help you get a better accent. PS: I'm also available for German lessons.
I am 23 and got my Baccalauréat Littéraire (A level in litterary studies) a few years back. I gave French lessons in France for middle school and high school students. The method is not strict, it's about to adjust to every student... Those who need to stick to formal French, and those who would rather use slang and actual French. Films and books are a good way to improve.
I have been doing french lessons in France to foreigners trying to settle for 2 years. I am opened to the level of the student : We can try to converse, do some grammar or vocabulary (using french texts, music, or extract of movies) or even just focus on pronunciation.
My teaching method is first to give the basics so that the person will be able to communicate. I base my classes with a combination of oral practice and theoretical exercices.
