My teaching style is flexible. I have helped student that were behind is maths or physics by taking our time and working through the course step by step. I have also used my own deep knowledge of the subjects in order to extend the understanding of students already doing well.
One on one tutoring is my preferred method of tutoring. I will go higher, but no more than three students at a time - I prefer a more personalised approach to tutoring. This allows me to understand where the student is having difficulty and encourages the student(s) to ask questions as they go along.
Due to my limited tutoring experience, I have yet to discover the most effective method of teaching. however, during my gap year, I had the privilege of working in a special needs summer camp in America. Not only did it allow me to work in a multicultural society, it also gave me the tools to become adaptive to different personalities, learning styles and above all, patience.
My method is interactive description of the topic, followed by reinforcement, and then assessment of comprehension. I think students learn best if they can end up teaching others what they’ve learned and what they know.
An energetic and proactive special education teacher who caters for each individual student and their needs. I am enthusiastically committed to changing the lives of everyone I come across by providing opportunities and encouragement to ensure they reach their full potential. I will always establish high standards for the students I deal with and provide the relevant support to achieve this.
I beleive in every student being provided with the best possible exposure to education and learning. It is my belief that others should be exposed to the same opportunities as i have been lucky enough to have been provided with. My lesson structure is very much based on the students preferences, in order for them to get as much from each lesson as possible.
My sessions are based on students’ class work with relevant and related extension/catch-up background as necessary. I prefer to explain things with reference to real world examples where possible as I find this is particularly effective for helping students not only learn but apply the knowledge.
Teaching methodology for new course contents (For Year 10s, 11s, and 12s): -Analogies to broaden the student's perspective on a fresh new idea. -Related videos played to establish a solid understanding of upcoming concepts -Teaching will be thorough and steady-paced to ensure that student has a firm grasp on new concepts, and to instill confidence in the student.
Lessons are fun and age appropriate for the individual student or small group. My approach is focused on research based explicit instruction in literacy and numeracy including synthetic phonics instruction for lower primary and remedial work for upper primary years or English second language. I can conduct lessons 45 minutes and 1.
I approach teaching based on a collection of resources, teaching according to the requirements of the school syllabus in order to get the best out of my students. I believe that all students have a capacity to a achieve greatness and that I can help them achieve it.
My teaching method is providing information as done in a classroom or lecture setting, then encouraging participation, effective communication and a two-way discussion with all the students, so that they can have a better understanding of the material covered.
With my students, I like to start with defining the problem/concept/task and breaking it into smaller parts. Through this method, the student begins to understand how to approach academic tasks they are presented with and improve upon their current skill set.
I like to demonstrate/model to my students as much as possible how something is done, and then let them try and complete the task independently. For example, I will show them how to complete a problem, step-by-step, and then let them copy each of my steps, until they become more confident with this. I will then encourage them to try and complete the task totally independently.
Hi i'm Anne-Marie White but most call me Annie, I'm currently attending Penrhos College as a grade 10 student and the age of which i can tutor and support is from grade 1-8. Organisation is a huge part of me, this is a great quality to have as a tutor as every session will be well thought out and planned.
Keen sportsman who is keen to umpire WAFL, very energetic, enthusiastic, diligent and always looking for ways to help others.
I love to use fun, creative and engaging teaching approaches.
My preferred teaching method is collaborative: I meet students and assess the level of support they need, with a focus on specific area where they need improvements: writing, reading skills (the ability to assess the main points of the argument). My specialty is academic writing and research skills.
The culmination of my varied teaching experiences has allowed me to form my own methodology/approach to teaching. However technically my practice aligns with student centered learning. Teaching in situations where the students and I did not share a common language has meant I have developed unique ways for us to communicate knowledge and ideas, particularly drama and role play.
I am a Psychology Student at the University of Western Australia with an assured pathway in Psychology Honours. I teach preschool, primary school and high school students. I was trained by a leading tutoring centre called 'Innovative Teaching Academy' and worked there as a Human Biology, Mathematics and English tutor.
I take a holistic approach with my students, there are many reasons why learning can be difficult. I get to know them and make sure I connect with them so that we relate to each other well.
I provide hands-on learning experiences. I use engaging tools and resources during my lessons. I encourage students to think and explore. My lessons are very engaging and allows students to have some fun while learning. I aim for all my students to achieve success on their own merit. I will meet with your children and plan lessons according to their individual ability.
I will look at your syllabus and outline key ideas and concepts, and then attune my teaching to how you learn. Whether that be charts, tables, music, talking or writing.
I believe in deep understanding of concepts rather than cramming and making them understand everything in detail and motivates them to practice and learn and try to write themselves rather than copy and paste.
My teaching method depends on the student and studies they undertake. I am strict with pre reading and homework for progression of the students learning. Problem solving is a priority as well. However, Im easy going person and flexible to accommodate. Example of the first lesson I would introduce myself and ask the current level and situation of the student (why they wanted a tutor).
I am a friendly and passionate teacher who truly cares about making a difference to my students' education. It is important for me to develop a clear line of communication with the parent and student, and (where possible) to include input from the classroom teacher in order to make the most from our tutoring sessions, ensuring we are all working toward to the same goal.
I base my teachings around smart study, not hard study. The short cuts, tips and tricks and straight to the point information to really stimualte personal grwoth in a judgement free zone. The way I work adapts to WHO you are and what kind of vibe you're chasing. The content is always quality but first and foremost, easy to understand.
My teaching method is to inspire students in resolving problems and participative learning. Building confidence in students to prepare for real world challenges.
My teaching method is to listen first and collaborate a solution that showcases your strengths and works on your weaknesses
I am a recent high school graduate who achieved a 99.4 atar. Having just sat my WACE exams, no one knows the courses better then me.
I used different methodologies; peer learning which is most effective of all and not to deny; individual support and group teaching too.
