There is no one particular teaching 'style'. A great teacher can teach each student individually, whilst educating the whole class at the same time. Teaching is not simply 'standing in front of a classroom'. It is much more than that. Teaching or to be a great teacher is to build trusting, professional and friendly relationships with students of all cultures and backgrounds. This is Australia.
An energetic and proactive special education teacher who caters for each individual student and their needs. I am enthusiastically committed to changing the lives of everyone I come across by providing opportunities and encouragement to ensure they reach their full potential. I will always establish high standards for the students I deal with and provide the relevant support to achieve this.
My teaching methods are based on evidence-based techniques that are widely used in high schools across Sydney. Each lesson provides core activities that are delivered with supporting or extension variants to mold to the student's learning profile.
I try to utilise a guided discovery teaching approach when structuring my lessons. With this approach, I am able to provide my students with basic content or information pertaining to the topic at hand, however, it is up to them to interpret and form their own understanding or conclusions. I will continually support students through this process, but the emphasis is on the student.
I am currently studying at UQ in the Master of Commerce program with specialization in professional accounting. Through out my academic journey I have always shown great enthusiasm and results as the end defines all. I have assisted junior level school students to university students from with subjects from maths,English, physics, chemistry to accounting and financial analysis.
Due to my current university studies, I have an extensive portfolio of tips and tricks to facilitate engaging ways of improving student learning. My subject strengths lie in Maths and English up to a Year 8 level. I firmly believe in adjusting experiences to suit the learning style of the child to ensure successful knowledge transmission.
I approach each subject differently, depending on the requirements. If the subject has a laid out lesson plan, I will teach according to with topic they are learning in school. If the subject does not have a laid out lesson plan, I will see which aspect of the subject the kid is weak at, and focus on strengthening them at that area.
My classes are based on first of all enjoying the subject matter and then getting the most out of the subject. Whether it is dance, yoga, music, art or meditation the philosophy is the same, what is the most enjoyment and fulfillment the student can get out of the subject according to their capabilities and expectations.
My teaching methods will be understanding your abilities and be knowing your likes and dislike in particular subject and proceeding with the topic you like most.
I believe that academic concepts are best learned when they are contextualised to suit individual needs and will aim to present knowledge in such a way that is suited to the student and their learning needs/preferences.
My lesson plans will be geared towards the particular student in order to help them in the topic they need help with. My rule is to first get to know the student so that they feel comfortable learning with me and are willing to be honest about what they can and can't do.
Friendly, motivated and patient Tutor available to help students facing difficulties with school curriculum and/or students who desire a better grasp and understanding of the subject matter. Available to assist with school assigned homework, and where necessary, available to provide extra work and practice questions/assignments.
I prefer a student-focused learning method where the student asks questions and we discuss the issue with examples and problems to solve. Teaching is subject-oriented for a deeper understanding of the subject including use of English in context.
I used to approach French or tutoring with kids in a fun way like songs, games movies and conversations. I went to Madagascar for volunteering when I was 20 and we taught French by fun and easy activities, like crafting, dance...
I was a student that struggled to pay attention personally, tutoring literally got me through school and I understand the importance of keeping learning interactive and interesting. My teaching style is to put learning points into a language that students can understand and relate to.
My teaching methodology mostly revolves around helping students take control of their learning and facilitating them in the process. So I would give a 5-10 min overview of a lesson and then facilitate the students into shaping their own understanding.
My teaching methodology is based on developing productive relationships with the student/s. This relationship provides a basis on which both teacher/trainer and students are seen as equal partners in the learning experience. Mutual understnding of each other is an essential backdrop to productive learing/sharing experienes.
Developing strategies for effective learning and creating one's practice through creative design and investigating process on an intuitive and intellectual level, both as self and collective learning: Using language and metaphor as a descriptor, Decomposition, Intention and Interpretation, and experiment.
My teaching method will include patience and a set of fun and knowledgeable exercises that can help the student understand the context of the specific subject. My method will also include communication between the student and me. Lastly, my Psychology course relates very well in terms of child development and learning which will benefit my student and including myself.
I go for the Eclectic approach since I affirm that everyone has a different learning style and capacity. I go for different sources on which the student will best learn the subject matter. If the first method does not work then there are still a lot of tricks up on the sleeve.
I am a facilitator of education which means I will work with individual strengths and motivators to generate the best, long term and transferable outcomes for students. I won't give you the answers or do it for you. My goal is to develop learners that are independent life long learners who want to learn.
My teaching method is an open, relaxed approach to learning. Student knowledge is formed from their own ideas of a topic, it is my goal to guide and direct learning, rather than simply provide answers.
My teaching method is soft, patient and kind. I will be firm if necessary but I have a gentle way of teaching. I also make activities like games so it doesn't feel like the children are doing school work. I believe that sensory learning is vital for primary school aged children and that being able to see, touch and smell as well as hear, makes information stick in their minds.
I focus on academic structure, organization and clarity. I believe it is important to have consice and clear purpose with writing and will work toward assisting my clients in that capacity. I assist my clients by working through their essays and creating well-structured and comprehensive reports.
My teaching methodology is I assist learners to achieve by helping them identify their own learner preferences, then develop personal learner strategies to fit the learner. My areas that I specialise in is the performing arts: Dance, Drama and Music. I can also teach a number of other areas such as Science, English, Mathematics from Prep to year 12.
I encompass various teaching styles. I will encourage a multi media range of learning as well as many practical and theoretical examples.
My approach to tutoring HSC english is teaching the process I developed and followed throughout my own HSC. It optimises productivity through a time efficient schedule, and produces outstanding results in a flexible and intuitive manner. I do not believe in excessive repetition, and focus on developing the core skills necessary to succeed individual goals in all HSC English courses.
I approach each case separately and base my method on the unique individual who I will be working with, tailor-making my method to how they learn and the areas they require assistance with. I have worked with students who struggle with mainstream learning approaches, as well as individuals who require more structure and time-managing.
I approach my lessons by reviewing previous lessons and finding out exactly what my student is finding difficult. I prefer to help my students become able to tackle the problems rather than just giving them the answers and essentially doing it for them. I want my students to feel as if they've improved after our lessons.
My teaching pedagogy is underpinned by theories such as the 'Universal Design for Learning'. I believe that content should be presented in multiple ways (i.e. tactile, visual, hearing) and that students should have multiple opportunities to practice and apply concepts.
