My teaching method depends on the student and studies they undertake. I am strict with pre reading and homework for progression of the students learning. Problem solving is a priority as well. However, Im easy going person and flexible to accommodate. Example of the first lesson I would introduce myself and ask the current level and situation of the student (why they wanted a tutor).
There is no one particular teaching 'style'. A great teacher can teach each student individually, whilst educating the whole class at the same time. Teaching is not simply 'standing in front of a classroom'. It is much more than that. Teaching or to be a great teacher is to build trusting, professional and friendly relationships with students of all cultures and backgrounds. This is Australia.
Basically, it depends on the student's ability. I will adjust my teaching methods based on different students. For more capable students, I will give them extra exercise as a challenging task for them. For weaker students, I will help them to catch up with the school progress first.
I am currently studying at UQ in the Master of Commerce program with specialization in professional accounting. Through out my academic journey I have always shown great enthusiasm and results as the end defines all. I have assisted junior level school students to university students from with subjects from maths,English, physics, chemistry to accounting and financial analysis.
Due to my current university studies, I have an extensive portfolio of tips and tricks to facilitate engaging ways of improving student learning. My subject strengths lie in Maths and English up to a Year 8 level. I firmly believe in adjusting experiences to suit the learning style of the child to ensure successful knowledge transmission.
My teaching methodology is based on empowering the student and wanting them to feel confident. I spend most of my time, energy and resources in making the student feel comfortable and helping them to understand the content and how to address an assignment. If they do not understand what they are meant to do or what they are meant to write about, then they will not enjoy learning the content.
I believe that academic concepts are best learned when they are contextualised to suit individual needs and will aim to present knowledge in such a way that is suited to the student and their learning needs/preferences.
I have always believed in interactive learning, I like to explain the concepts using charts and flowcharts which would help the student understand the ideas or concepts clearly. I like to do my home-work so any kind of questions are welcome. I like to prepare notes and help student prepare notes of their own.
My lesson plans will be geared towards the particular student in order to help them in the topic they need help with. My rule is to first get to know the student so that they feel comfortable learning with me and are willing to be honest about what they can and can't do.

My name is Anna, I am 24 and studying medicine. I previously completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne. I am patient and believe that with the right encouragement students can excel and become more confident in their own abilities.
In the primary sessions, we will discover what skills the student wants to improve in, the goals they want to achieve and their particular learning style. This will help me build a personal teaching plan to fit the students needs.
My approach to tutoring HSC english is teaching the process I developed and followed throughout my own HSC. It optimises productivity through a time efficient schedule, and produces outstanding results in a flexible and intuitive manner. I do not believe in excessive repetition, and focus on developing the core skills necessary to succeed individual goals in all HSC English courses.
I approach each case separately and base my method on the unique individual who I will be working with, tailor-making my method to how they learn and the areas they require assistance with. I have worked with students who struggle with mainstream learning approaches, as well as individuals who require more structure and time-managing.
I approach my lessons by reviewing previous lessons and finding out exactly what my student is finding difficult. I prefer to help my students become able to tackle the problems rather than just giving them the answers and essentially doing it for them. I want my students to feel as if they've improved after our lessons.
My teaching pedagogy is underpinned by theories such as the 'Universal Design for Learning'. I believe that content should be presented in multiple ways (i.e. tactile, visual, hearing) and that students should have multiple opportunities to practice and apply concepts.
My teaching methods are that I tend to teach what the student needs to know for the exams but I like to give extra information to capture the attention of students especially by linking their concepts with real world applications.
As a tutor I want to be able to inspire children to learn and expand their knowledge. I want them to wake up and want to go to school, and not see it as a requirement. I believe education is essential to the growing mind, and has a great effect of the development of the child. As well as helping your child increase their grades, I will increase their moral and confidence too.
My teaching method includes first helping out with homework to assess the level of help required with the aim being to work ahead of the school classes. I am also able to provide additional textbook questions and past papers. Any questions brought up by the tutee will try and be answered in the teaching time otherwise I will follow up and send through an answer after this period.
I am happy to help both High School and Primary School students with their homework, with High school focusing on my relevant subjects. The focus would be on what they are learning, so looking at their class material and assignments, working out plans for essays and trying to encourage their learning.
Tutoring lessons are tailored towards your child’s needs. So whether your child needs revision on what is being taught at school, help mastering a particular topic, or guidance to excel them, lessons are delivered with one-on-one support to help your child reach their full potential. Assistance with homework or assignments is also on offer.
I am a very patient, understanding and especially committed person, especially when it comes to my own, and others education. I like to learn, and therefore teach in a flexible way. Specifically (depending on the nature of the subject), working through examples, brain storming and developing concepts for a thorough understanding, working through worksheets and sample questions.
During tutoring sessions, I aim to work off what your child needs and where their weaknesses may be. Generally, I will set up a rough guide as to what will be covered in the session, and work according to what will most benefit your child. I believe that tutoring should not be a chore for any individual, and aim to make each session interesting and engaging as much as possible.

Taught Sciences and Math for the last 20 years to over 50 students at different academic levels. I have an excellent track record of my students showing tremendous improvements and I have a passion for helping students by making subject matter relevant and engaging.
My teaching method is explaining solutions to students to ensure they understand the concepts but not just the single question. I am passionate about sharing my learning tips to students to help them to achieve great results. To further help the student, I can also prepare some extra questions for practising purposes.
Teaching methods for each student differs based on their learning needs and subject. Each student learns differently and many subjects can be approached in different ways including analytical tools, research, self learning through the internet, and rota methods based on repetition. I would use text books, online programs, workbooks and teaching through visual aids and research.
I am a friendly but straight to the point kind of person. Typically my first lesson is spent learning more about the students strengths and weaknesses in regards to the subject. Essentially, what kind of help they require so I can optimise our time spent together. From here we set a goal and work towards achieving it.
My teaching style is largely based around developing a relationship and learning how the student enjoys learning. I would then use a range of activities such as games, worksheets, hands on/visual explanations, oral questionnaires/discussions and explanations that I know the student will understand to ensure they develop a full understanding of the concept.
