I approach everything by explaining the fundamental components of an illustration. Creating the primitive formatting, concepts, and technical characteristics that proceed into the final details. Explaining every step using your own research methods to create anything you want.
I've been working between graphic design and illustration for the past six years. This experience has brought my process through many different mediums; pencil, oil and chalk pastel on paper (and more) to digital painting and 3D modeling. I'm also proficient in layout design in many different formats from letterheads magazines posters and info-graphics and am familiar with HTML and CSS for webdesign.
I've been in art school for the past six years, completing my Bachelors and Masters of art at SUNY Oswego. At the end of my career as a graduate student, four of my colleagues including myself placed our work in our own exhibition, featuring the work we've created in the past year. As a graduate assistant I was tasked with running the digital design labs, conducting print jobs and managing the print logs and resources. I was also tasked with helping students on their own projects, offering assistance with adobe creative suite programs (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) explaining problems they may run into, and critiquing work if asked.
