The culmination of my varied teaching experiences has allowed me to form my own methodology/approach to teaching. However technically my practice aligns with student centered learning. Teaching in situations where the students and I did not share a common language has meant I have developed unique ways for us to communicate knowledge and ideas, particularly drama and role play.

Mrs. Corbett and I worked together as a school in Kazakhstan. We worked very close together and I can say with full confidence that she is a very professional teacher and a wonderful mentor. She uses a student centered approach and is always very patient and kind with her students. I have witnessed very shy children open up to her and very active children with "difficult behaviour" become more diligent. Not only has she been a good teacher herself, she has also taught her colleagues the student centered teaching approach. Working in a Post-Soviet State, most of the teachers are taught to be very strict and discipline the students, but Mrs. Corbett has changed their perspective and methods of teaching. She is truly a very talented with passion for teaching, which is why I am happy to recommend Karen Corbett as a tutor for your students.
Karen is the type of person who sponges up every ounce of knowledge she obtains from her journeys and experience in teaching. She is always willing to share and pass on that knowledge to her students and she genuinely cares about her work. Karen's teaching structures are ideal as she creates an inspiring and productive learning environment. From being taught by Karen in the past, I've come to understand that she is persistent as well as supportive, she really encourages people to do their best in whichever task they need to achieve :)
I recommend Karen Corbett because I believe she is reliable and suited for this opportunity.
During highschool, I had Karen as my Tourism teacher. She was very helpful and a really great teacher. Karen helped me to progress through my studies successfully and also helped me gain the confidence that I needed for my further studies in Tourism. I recommend Karen because she has a heart of gold for teaching students and always wanting them to succeed.
