Reading and writing, but more important: speaking! I'm quite sure the best way for learning a new language is speaking a lot with people. I use to pick up a main agrument (music, cinema, sport...whatever you prefere!) and talk a lot with my student. That's not boring and you better quikly as well!
I'm an italian girl from South Italy, currently in Australia with a Working Holiday Visa. I've just finished my university's studies in Comparative literature: I studied languages and how to teach them! Furthermore I spent some time of my life abroad, in Spain, where I gave private italian lessons to student who need to achieve a certificate: they got it! ;)
Write me an email or call me/ for Whatsapp I still have my italian number: just ask me :)
