My belief is that to be a good teacher there are three essential ingredients:
1. Subject Knowledge. A teacher must know what he/she is talking about
2. Rapport with students. Where possible, Classes should be as entertaining as possible.
3. Dedication. A teacher must give 100% effort to his/her students.
I follow these ideologies when I have (a) student(s). I will give you all of my patience, knowledge, and energy in a fun learning environment.
For Advanced Students, requiring high level academic studies prices may increase based on my personal responsibilities as a teacher to read all the material needed to give the best service to my students.
Simon is very helpful and knowledgeable. He always makes time for his students to make sure that they understand properly. His style is laid-back and he is funny. I would definitely recommend him to other members.
In 2002 I moved to Korea to teach English to primary/elementary school students. I continued to do so until 2004, when I started to teach middle school students. In 2005, I was teaching high school students and by the end of that year I was teaching both adult business students and university students. In 2007 I also graduated from the Korean language course at Dan Kook university.
In 2008 I started work for the Korean government, editing international legal agreements, and continued working with large organisations, such as: Samsung and Hyundai Engineering, and also the CEO's and Vice Presidents of large companies.
In addition to this teaching work, I also took on many acting roles around Seoul, being competent in Korean and fluent in English. These positions continued on until 2012.
Upon return to Australia, I have had many private students, where we have focussed on a range of topics; ESL, Business, General Speech, TOEFL etc.
I am keen to teach online, as I am currently only 2 chapters away from finishing my first book.
