My teaching methodology begins with getting to know the students (interests, readiness, learning preferences) and using that information to incorporate into the lessons. Where possible, I like to help students practise the language in real life situations.
Each lesson begins with a piece of revision and whenever possible and suitable, I like to incorporate games as part of the learning.
Languages are built on previous knowledge, so I prefer to work with students who are dedicated and willing to revise regularly. I can provide tips on how to do this in a not-so-time-consuming manner.
I am a high school French teacher who has studied French for 33 years, including 1 year living in France. I am raising my two young sons as bilingual as possible in French. I have been giving private lessons for over 5 years. I am also a NAATI certified translator for French into English, accreditation that I use to operate my own small business translating official documents for government organisations and individuals.
Cancellation policy: if a lesson payment is to be avoided, the lesson needs to cancelled in writing and a confirmation of this returned by me prior to 24 hours in advance.
