I am a strong believer that a student who does not have focus and the resolve to try and change, will not be able to grow or improve their skills, in other words, the student must be disciplined, a teacher can't train that in a student.
I like to start from the foundation by inquiring what the student wishes to achieve (including time frame, how far they intend to take the skill etc). This is important as I intend to structure lessons according to the wishes of the student. If desired, I can teach classical theory and technical work, but if a student wishes to learn contemporary styles, I can teach that also.
I am a 2018 High school graduate, I studied ATAR Music (Western Art studies), Japanese, Economics, Mathematics Applications, English and a certificate 2 in Outdoor Recreation studies. I am fresh out of studying and hence have no prior tutoring experience. I have volunteered for the last 5 years at local church looking after children and running holiday programs, so I have experience working with children from 6-13 years old.
I have been learning classical guitar and music more broadly for most of my life (since I could physically sing basically) and I have been tutored classical guitar specifically for 12 years now. I have played in various ensembles for guitar, flute and mandolin and have also sung in a number of school choirs/a Capella groups and workshops.

Kind, patient and passionate; great skill to teach Japanese and help you learn at a pace suited to you.

He is just an all around stand up guy who will help you to achieve what you want.
Zac and I met about two years ago in school and we have been good friends since. He is EXTREMELY passionate about what he teaches and I am always interested whenever he has something to teach me. Choosing Zac as your tutor will ensure that you get an interesting and fullfilling education.
