I am a strong believer that unless a student is willing to learn and is desperate to transform, they will not likely grow in their skills. I am an outgoing and vibrant personality, but will work with anyone. I aim to start with the building blocks of the language, the characters, then move upwards onto grammar and vocabulary. I like to incorporate technology into learning, as well as old-fashioned mnemonics and visual hooks to help memorize key points. My goal with a student is to tailor the preset course to their specific needs (ie. passing the ATAR course in high school, or learning from scratch.)
I am a 2018 High school graduate, I studied ATAR Japanese, Classical Music, Mathematics Applications, Economics, English and a Certificate 2 in Outdoor Recreational studies. I averaged around 80% in Japanese throughout my schooling, have been on exchange to Japan and regularly contact natives who live there (via LINE calling). I have passed JLPT N5 (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) and just sat the N4 exam this year.
I have no prior experience in tutoring, but am equipped with a stable teaching methodology and the required skills to teach beginner to intermediate Japanese.
I am also about to go onto study further Japanese studies as well as music in University next year.

Zachary has just completed Yr 12 ATAR Japanese and performed well in it, he is really hard working and incredibly knowledgeable, so if you ask a question he can't answer right away, you know he will go and find the answer. He is just an all around stand up guy who will help you to achieve what you want.
Zac and I met about two years ago in school and we have been good friends since. He is EXTREMELY passionate about what he teaches and I am always interested whenever he has something to teach me. Choosing Zac as your tutor will ensure that you get an interesting and fullfilling education.
