My name is Gaelle and I am an English Literature student at King's College. I was born and raised in Paris, and French continued to be the language I spoke with my family even after moving to the United States. I also continued to study it in high school and chose it as an A-level. I was absolutely determined to practice my grammar as this is particularly difficult in French.
I can teach spoken French and pronunciation - which tends to be difficult for non-natives. There is no magic trick to master this, conversation is primordial! One needs to train their ears to the sounds of French before being able to speak it. Similarly to how babies listen to their parents before learning to talk.
As a native speaker, I am knowledgeable with French vocabulary. I believe picture association to be helpful as our memory tends to work more efficiently by associating certain words with images. For more experienced individuals, writing exercises will be given.
At my school establishment, I would give lessons to students simply by entertaining conversations in French with them. (2 years)
I conducted a programme of 3 months last summer during which I travelled to Japan and taught English to children.
