I believe in the power of peer-to-peer education. I use my age as an advantage, to empathise with the experiences of my students, and to make them as comfortable as possible. At times, studying can be stressful and overwhelming - and I get that! That's why I make sure my sessions are as interactive and fun as possible, using a range of activities and constantly checking in with my students. The key is to break down big ideas and concepts - whether those be the Spanish subjunctive, or realism as an international relations theory - into smaller, more manageable, components. I then teach or reinforce these components using strategies and activities that are specifically tailored to the student's learning style.
I am a recent University of Melbourne graduate with experience writing and delivering interactive workshops on international affairs in schools, with United Nations Youth Australia. I have also taught English to students aged 3-14 in a remote Spanish school, and delivered private French grammar tutoring in Melbourne. I have a special interest in political science, economics, and European Politics. I have just been selected for a Masters in European Affairs at Sciences Po Paris, which is continental Europe's best political science university.
