Languages are a lot harder to learn when you don't enjoy it. So, I like to keep it fun and adapt it to YOUR needs.
What do you want from learning English?
Why are you studying?
What are your goals?
Where do you want to be in the future?
By knowing the students' needs, and how they like to learn, we can make lessons interesting and productive. No one learns when they are falling asleep!
So, my methodology varies depending on the individual student's needs. Generally speaking, I like to use a range of learning styles. Implementing new techniques, interactive activities and as well as quizzes. When I personally study languages, I like to be able to not only use the language in everyday life but tailor it to my interests. So, we will talk about real issues and read interesting pieces from the newspaper or from short stories that interest you. I personally love pop-culture so expect a lot of references and songs to your favourite Netflix shows and Oscar winning movies.
Within groups, I make sure every student has a voice in class and will make as many opportunities as possibles for students to practice speaking. Again depending on the student, I will set an appropriate amount of home work but extra exercises will always be available.
Those serious about practicing English, particularly for University, I can offer extensively grammar practice and correction, variously projects and readings as well as academic writing attention and IELTS preparation.

I’ve known Jordan for many years, and as a career educator, I think she would be a kind, empathetic and principled teacher to any student lucky enough to have her. Jordan is trained to help both adults and children learn English and is very capable. She is organised and a hard worker and will definitely get the best results possible as a tutor. She is compassionate and globally minded and would make an amazing teacher to any EAL.
I taught with Jordan at a previous language school, and she is a great teacher with great energy! She makes her lessons not only educational but fun and interesting as well, as has a bubbly personality that's great for motivating learners. I enjoyed working with her a lot, and would definitely do it again.
