I use textbooks for beginners and have an extensive library of my own transcriptions, as well as my own Chord Dictionary(2,100 chord shapes). I usually teach one on one although I conduct many workshops at various folk and bluegrass festivals.
I play mostly bluegrass and traditional Irish music although my original training was 5 years at Bruce Clarke's Guitar Studio in the 1970s, playing and studying jazz guitar. I mostly flatpick, with some fingerstyle and play in standard tuning, with some Open D and Open A
