Contemporary Art (And all that comes with it) is intended to be tailored to your needs as a student. I can offer critique and methods to build critical thinking in art. From Philosophy & Creative Practice to Critical Theory, Contemporary Art is a large and growing study. Whether you want to develop your art writing skills, practice your critical thinking/speaking or need help articulating ideas in the form of essays for art degrees or statements - I can help!
Due to the nature of this field of study, I consult students on a one to one basis to find exactly what skills need building together. It's not always clear cut within Contemporary Art, sometimes we think one thing may be a problem, when in fact it's concealing a separate obstacle - thinking together gives things clarity!
Undergraduates, Postgraduates and Foundation students are welcome to reach out with requests, as vague or as academic as you need!

I have been teaching freelance in Art Schools for over 4 years, including schools in Vienna, Austria and across the UK. Most of my teaching has happened one to one in studio's (as is normal in Art Education) , which has given me consistent results with students, helping to free their thinking. Thinking doesn't take place in a vacuum - whether it is talking through ideas, or students struggling to write essays whilst making work; always a great opportunity to work with each other to get where we need to get.
