Im a practicing chemical engineer for four years who believes that maths are just as fun as any other subject. It only needs to be viewed from a different perspective. If students can realize the practical application of maths in our every day lives, they would be able to accept maths not just as some part of their educational requirement but also as something that they woud take pride in doing.
For better preparation of the lesson, I would be requiring the student to provide an advanced copy of the curriculum, home works, and specific topics that they would like to focus on.
Each session shall include but not limited to the following:
1. Answering home works
2. Replication of topics discussed in school
3. Focus on topics with difficulty
4. Discussion on practical applications
-Started tutoring as an undergraduate
-Served as a mentor for junior engineers during my experience in a design firm
-Performed workshops for technical abilities specifically in softwares
As a teacher, I believe that any problem can be broken down to its most basic parts. Once these basics are understood to the very core, a student will be able to solve any problem. I do not focus on the short term answer-to-questions but rather on developing problem solving skills and enthusiasm to approach any challenges. These shall not only help in the student's grades but more importantly on his/her capabilities as an individual
-Rate is dependent on student's level as I may require additional preparations
-Before start of session, I require the student to send a curriculum
