Yes, I won't lie to you: learning a new language is unfortunately connected with a bit of work. But as with all things in life: wanting it is the first and most important step and you are here for a reason.
I'll be there to teach you the basics in grammar, sentence construction and pronunciation, so you can take your first wobbly steps.
I'll provide you with learning methods and material for the time after our lesson finishes (yes, it's called homework and you'll love it once you figured out it gives you at least two or three lessons for the price of one), so you can take further steps independently, when it comes to reading, writing and listening comprehension and the confidence to converse. You'll be off to a running start in no time.
And yes: learning a language is about repetition, but so is learning that favourite song of yours. You wouldn't know the lyrics, if you hadn't repeated it for about a hundred times. By the same token, I will base our lessons on your likings and interests whenever I can, so you will be intrinsically motivated to learn. It's what's called student-centred approach. That also includes that YOU will do most of the talking to get as much practice as possible and the confidence you need when learning or improving a new language.

Antje is a very valued colleague and mentor. She teaches her students in a competent, committed and jovial manner. I was able to learn a lot from her about motivating lesson content and how to relate to students. Swapping teaching ideas with her is always a fruitful and inspiring exchange.
