Biology Units 1-4 Expand your knowledge base and understand concepts better.
I have been tutoring Chemistry, Human Biology and Science to students from year 6 to year 12 for about five years. My experience in schools is recent so I am very familiar with ATAR requirements and standards. I have references from parents who were very happy with their children's improvement after my tutoring.
I have been doing full time and Long Term Replacements for Maternity Leaves and Long Service Leaves since 2010 which has been very rewarding in terms of my personal growth as an educator. In 2017 I completed a fixed term contract at Swan Valley Anglican Community School.
I am a dedicated and energetic educator who thrives on a challenge and who inspires students to excel and to see education as a life journey with infinite possibilities. I have an extensive knowledge across all Sciences and wide range of experience in a large variety of schools as a result of the fixed term placements I have been doing in recent years. My flexibility makes me able to fit into new systems and situations with ease.
One of my strengths is my versatility. I can teach year 11 and 12 Chemistry, Human Biology and Biology and also when needed, Physics and Psychology to year 11. I have taught year 7 to 10 Sciences extensively. I also have a background in Geology and Marine Biology if these subjects should be required. As a result of my diverse background I especially enjoy teaching extension classes in Science which I have been fortunate enough to teach in several schools including Kingsway Christian College and Mandurah Baptist College.
I believe my strength in communication is my ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms. My other communication skill is that I am sensitive to my students and can usually tell when they do not understand and I can reword or find a different way of presenting the information. I am a story teller and because of my large family, varied life experiences and broad knowledge and enthusiasm across all Sciences I can usually find a relevant anecdote to interest and inspire.
